Norwegian companies continue to innovate in many industries such as aquaculture and wastewater treatment, and Pi’s distributor has recently been exploring ways in which Pi’s technology can be applied to new processes and technology.
Pi’s Daniel Nearney and Mike Riding visit Norway
As part of a visit to Norway, Daniel Nearney, who looks after European Sales at Pi, and Managing Director, Mike Riding, visited Pi’s official Norwegian distributor, FG-Tech, for three days.
Founded by Fredrik Andersen and Geir Siqveland Steffensen, FG-Tech have been successfully collaborating with Pi for two years and in that time, FG-Tech have become experts in Pi’s instruments specialising in
- The TurbSense® Turbidity Meter,
- The pHSense pH Meter,
- The HaloSense Chlorine Analyser and
- The OxySense Dissolved Oxygen Monitor.
As part of the visit, Daniel and Mike exchanged expertise with Fredrik and Geir, visited FG-Tech’s new premises in Brevik overlooking an inlet of the North Sea, met with existing FG-Tech customers, visited sites trialling new Pi products and visited the research facilities utilising Pi’s CRONOS® and CRIUS® instrument controllers.
Whilst in Norway, Daniel and Mike were given the opportunity to sample traditional Norwegian food including reindeer and cloudberries, a berry similar to raspberries and blackberries.
When commenting about his trip, Daniel said:
“The dedication of the site staff that we met, and their commitment, was admirable. Working with FG Tech is a pleasure as we both agree that there is great potential for growth in the Norwegian market and we share the same vision going forward.”
